The Dakotaland Museum Receives CARES Grant

In September of 2020, the South Dakota Humanities Council awarded $3,000.00 grant for maintenance and restoration on the Dakotaland Museum.  These monies came out of the CARES Act, a federal program to assist during the COVID-19 pandemic, distributed by the National Endowment for the Humanities.  For health and safety concerns, the Dakotaland Museum did not open for the regular season of 2020. Dan Goetz restored the door coverings on the south side.  Meyer Modernizing/ABC Seamless repaired some of the gutters that were damaged over the years.  Thank you to the South Dakota Humanities Council for awarding the Dakotaland Museum the CARES grant that will help maintain the building for years to come.  “Any views, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed in this article and web page, do not necessarily represent those of the National Endowment for the Humanities.”
